Updating a release after you deliver

You can make several changes to a release after it has been delivered. These changes are best made by request with our Operations Team, who you can contact at operations@independent.co. Please see below for an overview of what can be changed and what cannot post-delivery.

 

These are changes that you can make from within your portal.

  • Release Cover Art

  • Release Date

  • Additional Artist Names and Roles

  • Track Title

  • Genre

  • ℗ and © Lines

  • Publishing Information

  • Royalty Splits

  • Song Preview Start Time

  • Marking a Track with Explicit Lyrics

  • Territories

  • Pricing Tier

Note: Modifying royalty splits at any time is possible via our splits form. Just please note that any updates will only be reflected within future payments. Historical adjustments cannot be made.

Unfortunately, there are some things that we cannot change once a project is delivered to our partners and will require a takedown. These are changes that require a takedown and resubmission.

  • Primary Artist Name

  • Track Order

  • Track Count

  • UPCs and ISRCs

  • Audio Changes

  • Record Label Name
